What is Hotmelt Adhesive?
Hotmelt Adhesive, also known as "hot glue" or "hot melt", are solid adhesives that require heating to melt into a liquid form for application. When the adhesive cools down, it bonds two materials together. Generally, Hotmelt Adhesives have excellent bonding properties and set quickly.
Applications
Packaging / Carton Sealing
With a strong foothold in the food and beverage packaging sector, Selic offer high quality hotmelt products, available in pellet, chip and block forms, for bonding various paper related surfaces such as coated/uncoated corrugated cardboards, trays, and presentation boxes.
Labeling
Our pressure-sensitive adhesive (PSA) hotmelt adhesives for labeling application are user and machine friendly and can work well with different labeling materials. With fast but steady melting speed they are suitable for hi-speed labeling systems.
Straw Attachment
Selic hotmelt for attaching drinking straws to beverage packs and cups possesses faster and strong solidification properties, and can withstand low temp and high heat stress. Available in EVA and metallocene.
Furniture / Woodworking
Selic have hotmelt products for edgebanding and profile wrapping, as well as pocket-spring applications.
